What's This About?
Congregational Vitality Initiative (CVI)
The Ready, Set, Grow Project in our Missouri Mid-South Conference is a pilot program for the United Church of Christ, making use of materials developed by our national office in Cleveland. Good materials about evangelism and new life in our congregations are available - but they will do more good if more people are familiar with them. Hence, the Ready, Set, Grow Project.
Developed by the Growing Ministry of our Conference, this project runs the course of one year, with 4 meetings scheduled for each the Eastern Association, St. Louis Association and Western Association. Three of the meetings will focus on the CVI modules: Ready, Set, and Grow. The fourth gathering will be a time of followup, evaluation and discernment of further needs.
Would your congregation benefit from such a project? Is there room for growth? Need new vitality?
To participate: complete a registration form (mailed to all MMSC UCC churches in July or find on www.mmsucc.org). Eastern Association registration is closed...St. Louis & Western Associations have time still. St. Louis Association participants will meet October 6th, Western Association on October 13th. The program costs $100 for the entire year's materials.
